Now the Winter Leagues have finished (with just the League Cups to be decided), thoughts turn to the County Summer League.
The format for this is different to the Winter Leagues - mixed teams of 4, no post match food, 1 or 2 divisions (depending on number of teams), end of season playoffs.
Kevan Mahoney has volunteered to manage a mixed Junior team and the proposal is to also have a mixed Adult team, with home matches on a Wednesday night and away matches likely to be Monday to Thursday.
As guidance, the Summer League is suitable for players who played in the Winter League teams and/or in Division 6 and above in the main internal leagues.
To allow for holidays etc, a squad of around 10 - 12 is needed,
If you want to be considered for the Adult squad, please reply to me by Sunday 19th May (which is the deadline to submit the number of teams to County).
Separately, we are looking into the possibility of arranging a few informal internal team matches over the summer, which would include players with little or no experience of playing team squash, but with aspirations to do so. Further to follow on this in due course.
