3 - MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING

4 - MATTERS ARISING
- Maintenance List - floors need attention in mens toilet and inside the entrance door as the wood is rotten. Maybe need to be concreted. List of jobs to be emailed, discussion followed on whether to publicise list.
5 - TREASURER
- Current account has £17.1k and Deposit account has £20k.
- HMRC have taken £5.2k in VAT. Figure is too high from normal figure so KP Simpson to look into it.
- There has been a horrendous increase in utility costs since last year but they may come down in October.
6 - BAR
- New chairs to match existing ones have been ordered to replace the old brown chairs. Suggestion to look at Pub Goodies in Hendon for replacement bar stools.
ACTION - Tom Potter and Linda Potter to visit and report back.
Need to set a budget to refurbish/tidy up both inside and outside; aim is to schedule in winter months if possible. The plan is to hire a skip for early October for Tidy Up Day. If in doubt, chuck out day!

7 - CRICKET
Disappointing results of late, plus several games rained off.
All Stars and Dynamos working well.
Finals Day to be hosted on Sunday 27th August.
8 - SQUASH
Summer Leagues - Boldon 1 are 5th having played 10 and won 6. Boldon Mondays are 12 having played 10 and won 3. The derby match has been moved to 1st September.
Winter Leagues - start at the end of September with 4 teams entered.
Memberships - £66.50 for July. Renewals have started and 86 already renewed.
Court Bookings - £1,541.25. Total for the year £10,254.
Ladies changing room is waiting for pipework to be replaced before a new carpet is fitted. There is a new drain cover in the floor.
Work on replacing new ceilings on courts 1 and 2 and the corridor started today, 3 day turnaround. Executive to make £1k contribution.
Squash AGM is 19th September.
9 - MEMBERSHIPS
- 1 new social member making 41 in total.
10 - AOB
New TV next to kitchen needs to stay in position and not moved by staff. It is for notices and information and could be used to show photos at funerals.
Short discussion on decoration of function room.
Pool table has been resurfaced as the teams are improving. Does it need a notice preventing young children using it?
Etching sticker for entry door has arrived.
Stuff under outside stairs needs to be sorted/removed.
