5 - TREASURER

  • Deposit Account (DA) - £20,200; Current Account (CA) - £18,569

  • CA a little lower than usual, some bar and squash payments to come in and reporting is earlier in the month than usual. In comparison, on 1st March 2023 DA was £9,500 and CA was £13,000.

  • Main outgoings this month are £1,400 for rest of furniture, VAT = £3,323, New glass washer and dryer = £1,270. Gas and Electricity remains very high, combined cost for month = £2,800. In the last 12 months the club has paid £12,189 for Gas and £15,073 for Electricity which totals £27,262!!!

6 - BAR

  • Brewery price increase came in from February and new wage rates will come in from 1st April. Prices will increase in April. We need to find another £7,500 per year to stand still (£2k to cover beer increases and the rest to cover wage increases). Proposal to increase prices from 7th April with a list of suggested prices. This would bring in about £5k so the rest will have to come from wine and prosecco (JK to discuss with Sam Ellison).

7 - CRICKET

  • Nets are working well and will continue until the middle of April.

  • Marlon has fitted in well both socially and cricketwise.

8 - SQUASH

  • 1st team playing well, 2nd and 3rd teams will hopefully avoid relegation, 4th team are relegation bound.

  • February court bookings - £1,530 and £74.10 memberships. The issue with the court heater is now fixed.

  • Members have been emailed asking for improvement suggestions

1, Provide a GoPro station to enable members to video their own games (members could do it themselves

2, Can the drive be illuminated (to be investigated)

3, Fruit machine in the bar (NO, security reasons and space).

  • Squash championships start in April.

9 - MEMBERSHIPS

  • No new members but subscriptions start again on 1st April when direct debits come in.

10 - AOB

  • Card machine – a new deal can be done between £60 - £70 per month, to be discussed.

  • Red Sky (Sergio runs it) will donate a new defibrillator plus outside cabinet (usual cost is £600) in return for an advertising board for a year. It would need to be wired up to a power feed. There will be some GNR numbers available for Red Sky sponsorship.

Date of next meeting Tuesday 9 th April at 8pm.
