Morning Everyone,
We’ve waited a while to be able to send this email but finally some good news I can confirm we are able to open our doors once again from 7am on Monday 12th April. We are extremely happy about this, and the club once again is looking in immaculate condition with the team making the most of this lockdown. Yesterday England Squash announced they would be putting together a full pack of rules for on the court activity but have given us a rough outline of what to expect and that is the following –
• Same households can play together
• Solo Squash
• Individual Lessons
This is pretty disappointing for the majority of people meaning the only way of playing squash for the immediate future is on your own or lessons however this is only due to be the case until May 17TH when all being well, we reach the next phase of squash returning and Squash Bubbles will be back. We can appreciate this is not the best news and some people will be very frustrated but it’s not for long!
Should there be any major changes once formal guidelines are released, we will be sure to let you all know.
The gym will be open as usual, throughout all this madness we have been very grateful to have the members we do who have continued to take on the extra cleaning duties to equipment with no issues what so ever and the feedback is people feel very safe when coming to the club. We thank you for your continued help with this going forward. And finally, one last bit of good news. Our committee met last night to discuss the opening of the club and once again they have pulled it out the bag, there will be no charge for the months of April and May. Huge thank you to the committee for coming to this decision, it has been a tough year for most and gestures like this really do go a long way.
Lastly, I hope everyone is keeping safe and doing well, we look forward to welcoming you all back from Monday.
