Matters arising from previous minutes
The Andy Lee Memorial Handicap Tournament held on 25th/26th June was very successful, with 24 entrants. It was agreed that entry via the Wazygoose booking system worked very well. Clive thanked tournament director Wayne, and other committee members involved in organising and running the tournament. It was proposed to hold the event on the same weekend next season and to inform the Lee family of the date well in advance.
Corporate Membership: - Following discussions, the Great Park business had been offered Daytime membership for 10 people at the membership fee of £35 No further contact had been made by the company.
Roger distributed samples of the Raging Bull sportswear. Although the design met with universal approval, there was general agreement that the samples were of too heavy a fabric for squash.
The Dazzling Doubles competition will take place on October 8th.
Membership renewals 2016-2017 Membership renewals continue. The club will continue to accept new members at present.
Liam Gutcher/Coaching Following his appointment as Carlisle’s Head Coach, Liam is stepping down from the 1st Team and will no longer have booking rights for coaching. Clive expressed his thanks to Liam for his contribution to the club. He will continue to run Think squash camps with Matt Hardy.
Teams 2016-2017 Dave North will shortly e-mail members for team nominations.
Newsletter The next newsletter will be sent out mid-July.

Any Other Business
Maintenance:- All lighting in the Squash area is now LED. The sensor has been removed from the balcony lighting which is now on constant. The scoreboard needs some new line tape. The squash computer has been rebuilt, with a spare now available. The loose connection in the light box of Court 2 has been fixed and issues about the lights failing to come on should now be resolved. Ventilation is required for the cupboard housing the computer. Sarah Howson now has a key to the guest fee box, which has been emptied.
Ladies Squash: - Richard reported that ESRA has made £300 available for “This girl can play squash” coaching and this figure will be matched by Sport Newcastle. He proposes to offer 1 hour’s group coaching, most likely on a weekday morning, commencing in October and running to the end of the season. For further discussion at a later date.
There was discussion of Richard’s suggestion of streaming matches online, using a number of fixed cameras.
The Ashes Trophy will take place on 10th September and once again entry will be through the Wazegoose system.
